Rajma – Kidney Beans in Gravy

So yes, if you are looking for an everyday veggie to go with your bread or roti, this is your option. But don’t believe that it is plain and may be not that tasty, because it is. Note: Will taste better with rice/brown rice too! 🙂 
So here we go…
The Ingredients
Kidney beans 1/4 kilo
Tomatoes 4-5
Onions 3-4
Coriander half a bunch
Garlic 1-2 cloves
Ginger grated about 1/2 tsp
Everest Garam Masala
Red Chilly Powder
Cumin seeds and Oil
Boil the kidney beans along with salt and baking soda till they turn soft enough to be be mashed.
In the meanwhile, blend the onions, tomatoes, garlic and coriander into a puree.
Pour 5-6 tsp of cooking oil in a saucepan and add cumin seeds. Then add the tomato-onion puree, the Garam masala and the red chilly powder. Cover it with a lid and let it boil.
Then add the rajma beans, before adding them you want to mash them a bit, so that they absorb the spices.
Even the kids like it so you can be sure to add this easy recipe for the family dinners.
