So anyone who has tasted Paratha will tell you that it is a one dish meal. It is so filling and yet it can be so nutritious. So, if cabbage is not one of your favourite veggies, this paratha can change your opinion. And it is so simple to make. Here we go…
Wheat flour/Chapati Atta 4-5 cups
Refined Flour 2 cup
1/4th Cabbage shredded
1 bunch of coriander
2-3 green chillies or red chilly powder can do
Dry mango powder (Amchur)
Salt to taste
Oil for kneading and roasting.
Shred the cabbage, add the coriander, green chillies chopped, cumin seeds, Amchur powder and salt to a blender. Add some water and run the veggies to get a course mixture. (If you don’t like to bite into with your paratha, then you can make a fine paste.)
Now add the wheat flour and the refined flour to your mixing bowl. Add some salt and mix the flour. Add the cabbage mixture to the flour and try to knead the dough with this. If you need you can add more water. Now add some oil and knead it again.
Roll the dough into equal sized balls. Roll them about the size you like and roast them on a tawa with some oil. Flip on the sides till they look well roasted.
Serve these piping hot paratha with anything from ketchup, chutney, salad or a gravy vegetable of your choice.
